“Yes he has a injury, no doubt about it. But it is also true that all is not well between Jadeja and CSK management. Things have not been normal since he was unceremeniously dumped as captain. He felt let down and wasn’t his usual self after that”, said a very well informed source in CSK Camp.
InsideSport tried reaching out to some of the current support staff members as well but none wanted to speak about the issue.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, CSK’s Instagram handle reportedly unfollowed Jadeja further sparking rumors about a rift between the parties.

CSK Ravindra Jadeja Fallout? First let’s check what CSK’s official statement about Jadeja said.
“Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings’ game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season.” said the statement released by CSK.
InsideSport reached out to CSK CEO to check about their take on reported fallout.
The franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan completely denied any fallout between CSK and Jadeja “He is injured, nothing else. No one from the management side is unhappy with him. He unfortunately is injured and that’s why we decided to let him go”.
When InsideSport asked why CSK Social handles have unfollowed Jadeja?
“I don’t have any idea. I am not at all into social media”, said the CEO.
InsideSport reached out to some former players and support staff who on condition of anonymity admitted that things are not well between the two parties.
“I am not privy to what is happening inside the CSK camp but as an outsider, I seriously feel something is wrong. Something in Jadeja was amiss after he was dropped as a captain. And the most surprising part for me was Dhoni’s statement against Jadeja”, said the former CSK Batsman.
What did Dhoni say about Jadeja?
Dhoni publicly spoke about how the pressure of captaincy was affecting Jadeja’s game.
“I think Jadeja knew last season he would be captaining this year. For the first two games, I oversaw his work and let him be later. After that, I insisted he would take his own decisions and responsibility for them,” he had said at the post-match presentation, after CSK’s 13-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Dhoni added: “Once you become captain, it means a lot of demands come in. But it affected his mind as the tasks grew. I think captaincy burdened his prep and performances.”
