IPL 2022 Mega Auction: IPL Salary records – The IPL salary records are all set to be broken in IPL 2022 with the BCCI increasing salary purse to Rs 90 crore. The likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma — IPL’s top players — can negotiate a higher tier of salary with their respective franchises. The highest-paid player Kohli, who earns Rs 17 crore, can now ask Royal Challengers Bangalore for more as per BCCI’s new retention rules for IPL 2022.

In its letter to the franchises, BCCI informed them about the new rules saying that “if the League Fee agreed with a Retained Player is less than the relevant sum set out above, then an amount equal to the relevant sum set out above shall be deducted from the relevant Franchisee’s Salary Cap.”
