IPL 2022 Mega Auction: BCCI’s diktat to Lucknow franchise – With the lack of clarity on the CVC-backed Ahmedabad franchise, the BCCI has asked the other new entrant Lucknow franchise to stay away from approaching players. That also means, BCCI will extend the deadline to pick three unretained players. Earlier, BCCI had set December 25 as the deadline to finalise the formalities. But now, it will have to wait. RPSG group won the rights for the Lucknow franchise after a whopping Rs 7,090 crore bid. CVC Capital successfully bid with Rs 5,625 crore.
