IPL 2022: Special Logo launce of Lucknow Super Giants – One of the newcomers of the IPL 2022 announced themselves in grand fashion via the logo launch as Lucknow Super Giants shared their unique logo of the team along with the different colours. Along with the logo itself, the significance of the colours is unique and appeals to every Indian, as the colors of the Indian flag have been represented in the logo. The Indian flag consists of 4 different colours. They are saffron, white, green and blue.

These same colour gradients have also been used in the logo of the Lucknow franchise and altogether it holds a special appeal to the nation.

The different colours of the Indian flag have their own respective significance and thus the same significance applies to the logo of the Lucknow Super Giants. 

  • The Saffron colour in the flag represents the courage and the strength of the nation
  • White in the middle of the flag is a representation of peace and truth.
  • The green colour of the flag signifies the growth, auspiciousness, and fertility of the country.
  • The navy blue at the centre is denoted by the wheel of the law representing life and death. 

Having their inspiration from Indian mythology, the logo of the team depicts the Garuda. The Garuda was a kite and the mount of God Vishnu. Known for soaring high in the skies, the Garuda was also worshipped for being a protector of mankind. 

 

Explaining their unique logo, the Lucknow Super Giants said, “The mythical bird Garuda- who is a protector and enthroned with the power to move swiftly, has inspired us to create the winged emblem of the team. Garuda is omnipresent in every Indian culture and sub-culture.”

The next unique feature of the logo is the carefully chosen colours of the Indian flag. A blue coloured bat stands in the middle with a red ball in its center. The red ball has an orange seam which denotes an auspicious tilak as is prevalent in the Indian culture. The wings of the bat are coloured in the hues of the Indian flag, with the name of the franchise written in blue at the bottom, showcasing that the team appeals to all Indians of the nation.

“The tri-colour wings of the entity, symbolically represent Lucknow Super Giants’ Pan -India appeal. The body of the bird has been formed by a blue coloured bat to signify the game of cricket, there is a red ball with an orange seam too. It is like an auspicious ‘Jay tilak’,” said LSG.
