IPL 2022: Lucknow franchise retained players revealed, KL Rahul to captain Lucknow, Marcus Stoinis & Ravi Bishnoi among other picks
While KL Rahul was bought for Rs 15 crore, Marcus Stonis & uncapped Ravi Bishnoi fetched Rs 11 crore & Rs 4 respectively, as per ESPNCricinfo.

KL Rahul has witnessed more than a rise in IPL salary as reported by Insidesport. Punjab Kings had last bought him for Rs 11 crore. He is one of the most consistent performers in IPL with 550+ runs in the last 4 seasons. He is expected to continue the role of an opener and lead the squad. KL Rahul has experience of leading Punjab Kings in 27 matches.
“Rahul will captain Lucknow. The team is deciding on the other two draft picks,” an IPL source told PTI.
RPSG Group had shelled out Rs 7090 crore to buy the Lucknow franchise. Rahul is currently the stand-in captain of the Indian ODI team in South Africa in the absence of an injured Rohit Sharma.
