Timeline of the incident – On the fourth ball of the 13th over of the SRH innings, Nicholas Pooran absolutely smashed a length ball straight back at the bolwer. Khaleel Ahmed, in his follow through, turned his head and took his eyes off the ball as he tried to take evasive action. The ball smashed into his left shoulder, around the collarbone region.
The physios were approached on the field as Khaleel was seen in clear discomfort.
Khaleel returns with bang – On the very next ball, off-pace ball, Khaleel delivered a fullish and wide of off on which Markram had to reach out for the ball as he tried to loft. With no timing on shot, Khaleel delivered the breakthrough as he broke the partnership which had troubled them for a while as he also was seen pumped up after shoulder issue.

Khaleel goes off the pitch – While Khaleel struck with vengeance, he had to go off the field after the incident and receive medical attention on the shoulder. He was only in the team as a replacement and delivered for the team. He was later seen returning to the pitch as he continued his impressive return to the team with a figures of 30/3 as DC were in control of the match.
