Shreyas Iyer comes to Kolkata Knight Riders having led Delhi Capitals to their maiden IPL final in 2020. However, when he was sidelined with a shoulder injury, Rishabh Pant was made the captain and was made the permanent skipper, prompting Iyer to leave the franchise.
