IPL 2022: NOC for all NZ players – The New Zealand Cricket has cleared all doubts regarding Kiwi players’ availability in the IPL 2022. On Friday, NZC declared that they will go with a new-look non-IPL squad for a one-off T20 and three-match ODI series against the Netherlands, making all 12 players including Kane Williamson, Trent Boult and Tim Southee available for full IPL, beginning March 26. New Zealand’s one-off T20 will be played on March 26 while the three ODIs will begin on March 29 and would run till April 4. If the IPL-bound players were to be called up, they would have missed the first two weeks of IPL owing to quarantine rules.

South African players to miss first match – However, the same isn’t the case with South African players. Eight IPL stars will miss the first match after being named in the ODI series against Bangladesh while they could miss further two weeks if CSA picks a full-strength squad for the two-match Test series.

But the BCCI is currently holding talks with CSA to come to a common ground. CSA may name a weaker squad made up of non-IPL players for the Test series.
