Pat Cummins Fastest IPL 50: The Australian Test skipper joined Venkatesh Iyer with Kolkata on 101-5 while chasing 162 and tore into the Mumbai attack with his 56 off 15 balls as the two-time champions reached their target with four overs and five wickets to spare.

The performance was so exciting that it lit the IPL 2022. Even Bollywood superstar and KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t keep his calm. He shared his excitement via a tweet post on the micro-blogging website.

“I probably think I’m most surprised by that innings. I’m glad that it came off,” Cummins said post-match.

“I was thinking of having a swing if it was in my area. Wasn’t trying to overthink it. Very satisfying to do it on my first game this season. Was just trying to pepper the shorter boundary,” he added.
