Rishabh Pant’s team will miss as many as five players at the start of IPL 2022. Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been selected for the ODI and T20I series against Pakistan and he is set to miss a minimum of three matches, whereas his countryman David Warner is also expected to miss a couple of matches as he will attend the funeral of legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne, which will be held on 30th March.

Besides that, both Lungi Ngidi and Mustafizur Rahman will compete in the South Africa vs Bangladesh ODI series. Rahman is expected to miss the first game against Mumbai Indians, whereas Ngidi could miss five matches if he is selected in the Test squad. To rub salt to DC’s wounds, Anrich Nortje will also miss a significant chunk of the action as he is yet to recover from his injury.
