IPL 2022 – Dale Steyn’s Special Yorker session – Sunrisers Hyderabad missed the mark in pace bowling department last season despite Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s presence. To change things, SRH brought in Dale Steyn as pace bowling coach and the South African conducted a special session for T Natarajan and others on how to nail perfect yorkers. Steyn-gun to lead from the dugout – The legendary South African inherited a reputation of being one of the best during his playing days. His contributions in the SRH camp didn’t go unnoticed, as the management decided to board him as a bowling coach. He hit the ground running by taking yorker sessions in the SRH camp along with T Natrajan. Steyn was known for his fast yorkers in the death overs and he Natarajan was taking a note of that in SRH practice.

Lack of edge in bowling attack in 2021 – A season to forget – SRH endured a very tough season in 2021, as they managed only three wins in the entire campaign. With only six points, the former IPL champions were given a reality check in the preceding season.
The 38-year-old Dale Steyn arrived in Mumbai last week and will guide the team as a bowling coach for the next two months.

Rashid Khan remained exception – No longer with the franchise, Rashid Khan was the silver lining on the dark cloud of SRH last season. The Afghanistan star scalped 18 wickets in the IPL 2021.
T Natrajan – a major miss in IPL 2021 – Touted as the Mustafizur Rahman of India, Natrajan has been a bright young prospect for India and SRH. However, the classy pacer missed the majority of last season having played only two matches, throughout the campaign. He remained a major miss for the franchise having scalped 16 wickets in the previous season.
