CSK especially was seen working with their pace battery. With Deepak Chahar presence in IPL questionable, KM Asif, Tushar Deshpande and C Hari Nishanth will have a role to play in CSK’s IPL 2022 campaign.

All 3 sweated it out in the nets in the practice session in Surat.

CSK Training Camp Surat: CSK is undergoing a 20-day pre-IPL camp to gear up for the 15th season of the league.

CSK management has asked the entire squad to reach Surat & train in Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.

  • All the players will be in a strict bio-bubble and fans will be allowed to watch the practice matches/ sessions.
  • The training session would help players to connect with each other ahead of the full-fledged season. The newly-added youngsters can rub shoulders with experienced guns like Dhoni, Bravo & Jadeja, among others.
  • Heavy security has been beefed up to ensure cricketers do not come in contact with any individual with the IPL 2022 set to begin from March 26.
  • Around 25-30 players, support staff, medical staff, members of CSK management, will be coming down to Surat.

“The players and associated staff are in strict bio-bubble. They will follow all the rules and the same are applicable for the stadium administration. It is a matter of pride for the city that we got a practice camp for a team that has international cricketing stars,” Hemant Contractor, president of SDCA told TOI.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni-led defending champions CSK will once again look to weave their magic in IPL 2022.

The star-studded lineup with kick start their proceedings in the opener against KKR on March 26. They will face Mumbai Indians twice during their group stages to provide riveting action to all the fans. The Yellow Army will look to win back to back trophies and give a fitting tribute to Thala Dhoni in his possibly last season as player at the franchise.
