Mumbai Indians IPL Squad – MI Practice Session: The other star was Kieron Pollard who also hit the nets ahead of IPL 2022 campaign. Pollard was the other player who was retained by MI alongside skipper Rohit Sharma, Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav. While Pollard’s side was thrashed by Rohit’s India in the three-match ODI and as many T20 series, he took on Bumrah for a couple of sixes during the nets session.
“Feels good. Been a long while. Took a couple of weeks off to make sure the body was well-rested. So yeah looking forward to it,” Kieron Pollard said.
While Pollard and Bumrah are experienced pros, it is a big opportunity for the 18-year old Brevis. He would get an invaluable experience by facing Bumrah, who is one of the best death bowlers in the world at the moment. Also he can learn a lot just by looking at Pollard from the other end.
The 18-year old, who is nicknamed ‘Baby AB’ was the highest-run scorer in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup. He impressed one and all with his batting abilities and was picked up by Mumbai Indians for 3 crores at the auction. The five-time IPL champions will kickstart the season by facing Delhi Capitals on 27th March, Sunday at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
