The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is scheduled to take place on the 12th and 13th of February in Bangalore while the main tournament is tentatively touted to commence from 27th March 2022. Quite a few superstars have played well in the IPL over the years, however, with time their form and fitness have dropped considerably, and here take a look at some players who would take IPL 2022 as a perfect opportunity to showcase their mettle.

Shimron Hetmyer: Fitness issues and injury concerns have kept the 25-year-old Caribbean player out of the West Indies team for the recently concluded T20I series against England and for the upcoming limited-over format series against India. The ferocious batter that has a base price of 1.5 Cr will try to shrug off his injuries and find the best of form to perform well in IPL 2022.

Nicholas Pooran: The 26-year old Caribbean batter has been in some terrible form off late. In IPL 2021 he managed to score just 85 runs in 12 innings with a disastrous average of 7.72. IPL 2022 can be the last chance for the wicket-keeping batter to save his career after having set a base price of 1.5 Cr.

32-year-old Manish Pandey will try his best to save his career in IPL 2022

Manish Pandey: Despite performing well in IPL 2021 the 32-year-old batter has fallen out of grace from the National side a long while ago. He scored 292 runs in 8 innings in IPL 2021 with a high average of 48.66. Pandey has set his base price as 1 Cr and will look to revive his IPL stint by finding a team in 2022 and performing equally well in the years to come.

Krunal Pandya: The 30-year-old all-rounder has been going through a rough patch off late. In IPL 2021 he managed to score 143 runs in 13 innings with an average of 14.30. He scalped just 5 wickets with a disastrous average of 53.00. Having set a base price of 2Cr, Krunal Pandya will have to perform really well in IPL 2022 to save his IPL stint.
