The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) late on Tueaday night informed all the franchises about the players availability.
- England: All players available for entire duration of IPL 2022.
- South Africa: All players available for full duration.
- New Zealand: All players available.
- Australia: Staggered joining due to PAK vs AUS Tests, ODIs & Sheffield Shield
- Bangladesh: Mustafizur Rahim available, Shakib Al Hasan unavailable for two weeks.
- Sri Lanka: Players like Wanindu Hasaranga are unavailable for two weeks, details below
NOTE: All overseas players will undergo a mandatory five-day quarantine.

England Players in IPL 2022: England players are set to be available for the full edition of IPL 2022. English players are available from March 28 to May 29. “After the IPL, the ECB is committed to starting the 1st WTC Test Match v New Zealand on 2 June, 2022. The player availability for all the ECB players will be through to Sunday, 29 May, 2022 (sic),” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed the franchises ahead of the mega-auctions.
Australia Players in IPL 2022: Cricket Australia is yet to give its nod to the Aussies taking part in the IPL 2022. The Australian players are expected to join the franchise after the Australia Tour of Pakistan.
While Test only players can join after March 25, the white-ball series will last till April 5. The local talents whose teams failed to make it to the Sheffield Shield Final can participate. It will run from March 31 to April 4.
SriLanka Players in IPL Auction: Sri Lanka players with the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga are set to miss IPL 2022 for a couple of weeks, i.e., from May 11 to 23. They will play two-match Test series against Bangladesh during the aforementioned dates.
SouthAfrica Players in IPL 2022: South Africa have extended full support to the BCCI for playing the entire India Tour of South Africa series. India played 3 Tests and 3 ODIs despite the Omicron COVID variant with roots in Africa.
NewZealand Players in IPL: All the Kiwi players will be fully available for the entire IPL 2022 season. They are the third country after SA and England to confirm that all the players are fully available for IPL 2022.
Bangladesh Players in IPL: Star allrounder Shakib Al Hasan will miss the IPL 2022 from May 8 to 23 for the Test series. On the contrary, pace spearhead Mustafizur will be available for the entire IPL 2022. Bangladesh players like Liton Das, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam will be available subject to their selection in international matches against SA and SL.
