Young 25-year-old Australian all-rounder is a treat to watch. Those who have followed BBL 2022, need no introduction for this fine rising super talent. Till now he has played just a single First-Class match, 2 List A matches, and 21 T20 games. He has scored a total of 175 runs in 12 T20 innings with an average of 25.00. His bowling stats are equally good after picking up 24 wickets in 17 innings of T20 games with a brilliant average of 15.58.

The best stint of Kerr’s career has come in this season’s BBL. Having played just 8 innings for the Sydney Sixers, he has scored 150 runs with an average of 50. His highest score of 98 not out came in the playoffs against Adelaide Strikers which booked the spot of Sixers in the finals against the Perth Scorchers. His bowling and fielding stats are equally good which makes him a complete all-rounder. In 15 innings he has scalped 24 wickets with a wonderful average of 14.79. While fielding he has managed to take 4 catches.

In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Kerr said, “I want to throw my name in the ring for the IPL. I had mid-to-long-term goals but [success in] the BBL might have accelerated them.”
A player of his talent, capability, and his current form will be a perfect fit for any T20 team and thus he will also be an ideal fit in the IPL. There are quite a few teams in the IPL who are currently on the hunt for young all-rounders and thus for them, Hayden Kerr can be the missing fit of their puzzle.
