Lucknow SuperGiant Gautam Gambhir – Lucknow Team IPL Auction: Gambhir already has 2 IPL Titles to his credit as a captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. As a team strategist & mentor of the team Gambhir is planning to have a BRAND-NEW template for the team.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to create a legacy and create something which has never been created before. We don’t want to copy anyone; we need to have our own template, we need to have our own legacy as well. And what better than when you have no baggage,” said Gambhir on ‘Backstage with Boria’.
“Sanjiv (Goenka) sir, when he had Pune (franchise), they missed winning the title by one run. So it’s going to be a great challenge if we can finish that unfinished business as well but then we can’t promise that it’s going to happen in one year. It’s a long-term prospect as well. It’s not going to be something like we are going to think only for this year,” he added.
KL Rahul & Gambhir Strategising: KL Rahul during a recent interview revealed that he & Gambhir are regularly having chats to devise auction strategy.

IPL 2022 Auction: Will KL Rahul be present at IPL Auction? Rahul will be with the India team for series against West Indies. Rahul though will not be physically present at the auction, he will stay connected with the team management via phone.
BCCI also has changed the dates of India-West Indies T20 Series during the auction dates of 12th & 13th February. The 3rd & final ODI of the series will be played on 11th February & 1st T20 has been pushed to 16th Feb.
This will give KL Rahul and other top Indian cricketers to stay connected with their respective IPL Teams during the auction.
