Mohd Shami
In-form Mohd Shami is one of the biggest speedsters in Indian cricket after Jasprit Bumrah. He has been a consistent performer in IPL for the last three seasons with an ability to deliver at the death. In IPL 2020, he had defended just 5 runs in the super over. The experienced pro has taken record 58 wickets in the last 3 seasons with an economy rate of around 8. He was roped by Punjab Kings in IPL 2018 for Rs 4.8 crore which is likely to multiple twice or thrice.
Trent Boult
Former Mumbai Indians Jasprit Bumrah’s partner will be looking to retain the services of New Zealand pacer in IPL 2022. The duo offers both left-arm and right-arm bowling options to not allow the opposition to settle down. He has taken 61 wickets in the last 4 seasons at a brilliant economy rate of around 8 per over. MI had purchased him for Rs 3.2 crore which could rise further at mega auction.
Josh Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood has come leaps and bounds as a T20 bowler and played a starring role for the Chennai Super Kings in the latter stages of the IPL 2021 title win. Kagiso Rabada
South Africa’s premium pacer Kagiso Rabada has been phenomenal as a powerplay and death bowler specialist. He is expected to undergo a bidding war among IPL franchises for IPL 2022. He has played 50 matches and taken 76 wickets at an economy rate of 8.21. Overall, he has played 135 T20s and taken 311 scalps. Delhi Capitals had last bought him for Rs 4.2 crore which could rise up to 4 times at the mega auctions.
Lungi Ngidi
Another quality pacer from SA, Lungi Ngidi will also be looking for a decent IPL contract. He has played 14 matches for CSK and scalped 25 wickets at an economy rate of 8.29. CSK had bought him for Rs 50 lakh but his price could further increase to several crores owing to the demand for quality pacers with two new IPL franchises Lucknow & Ahmedabad also on the bidding table.
