IPL 2021 Remaining Matches – Question Mark over New Zealand Cricketers availability? It’s getting clearer by the day that it will not be easy for the BCCI to organize the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in the September window. A day after England & Wales Cricket Board declared that English cricketers will not be available for IPL 2021 Phase 2, now the availability of New Zealand cricketers is also doubtful if IPL remaining games are conducted in September. Be it Sunrisers Hyderabad new captain Kane Williamson or Mumbai Indians’ Trent Boult, the participation of Kiwi cricketers will be in doubt as their series against Pakistan will be scheduled in UAE during the month of September.
IPL 2021 Remaining Matches – BCCI has been mulling over a possible September window for IPL 2021 remaining matches after Team India concludes ICC WTC Final against New Zealand and the 5-match Test series against England. BCCI is of the view that the September window can be used to complete the remaining matches of the 14th edition of the league. But during the same time, most of the cricket playing nations will be busy fulfilling their FTP commitments.
IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Why New Zealand players are doubtful?
New Zealand are scheduled to play Pakistan in a 3-match ODI and 3-match T20Is series in the UAE in September. The series is signed FTP commitment by New Zealand Cricket towards Pakistan Cricket Board and can’t be cancelled or postponed. This means almost all top Kiwi cricketers will be unavailable for IPL 2021 Phase 2 if it is scheduled in September.
Players who could miss: Kane Williamson (SRH), Adam Milne (MI), Trent Boult (MI), Mitchell Santner (CSK), Lockie Ferguson (KKR), Tim Seifert (KKR), Finn Allen (RCB), Kyle Jamieson (RCB)
The same is the case for England cricketers. ECB has announced that England will tour Bangladesh for 3-match ODI and 3-match T20I series in September and the England board will now allow players to leave to complete IPL commitments.
Like New Zealand & England, Bangladesh & Afghanistan cricketers will also not be available if IPL 2021 Phase 2 is scheduled in September. Bangladesh is due to host England while Afghanistan will play series against Pakistan.

New Zealand: Unavailable – Kane Williamson’s New Zealand will play Pakistan in 3-match ODI and T20Is in UAE

Australia: Available – There are no matches scheduled for September. However, Australia will host Sri Lanka for 3-match ODI and T20I series in October before the ICC T20 World Cup.
