Check details: Rajasthan Royals home toured Chetan Sakariya’s native place in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, and delved into RR’s bowler’s life before he featured for the franchisee in IPL 2021. As the RR person visited Sakariya’s indigenous place in Gujarat, it was discovered that the left-arm bowler earlier worked as an accountant in a stationary shop. Prior to visiting Sakariya’s place, RR visited youngster Riyan Parag’s place in Guwahati.
On an Instagram story posted by RR on their official account, the franchisee person showed Sakariya maintaining the accounts of a stationery shop. Set up in a local space, the clip featured the bowler saying ‘This is where I started from’ and then hovered on the collection of pens, books, and other stationary stuff placed in the shop.

Further, the video mentioned that the same was Sakariya’s Mama’s (Mother’s brother) shop where he worked as an accountant and managed around 500 clients. Clearly, Sakariya lent useful contributions to the family business.

IPL 2021: Chetan Sakariya’s performance in Phase 1
The 23-year old, who was bought by RR for 1.20 crores had a dream start to his IPL career. In Phase 1, he played all seven matches for the pink brigade and returned with 7 wickets with an economy of 8.22.
Courtesy of his phenomenal performance in the maiden IPL season, he earned a call in the white ball series during India’s tour of Sri Lanka. His hot form featured him in 1 ODI and 2 T20I’s for India on Lankan soil.
