IPL 2021: MI players to undertake practice drill on Day 2 after rigorous opening day training session; Follow live updates: After some warm and net practice sessions on the first day of practice at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Mumbai Indians players will now take their second-day training at the cricket stadium. The first day saw players engaged in running drills and net sessions. It was Ishan Kishan who became the talking point because of his powerful hits. Recently, South African based Mumbai Indians (MI) player Marco Jansen joined the team at The ST. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi.

MI players enjoyed some quality time in the pool as they played some volleyball, with Ishan Kishan, Dhawal Kulkarni and the Pandya brothers all in attendance.

The blue brigade went a step further to ensure the safety of their players. MI players got special GPS enabled watched by the Abu Dhabi health department for quarantine. Ahead of commencing any group training activities, all team members who will be included in the bubble will undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR testing plan.

IPL 2021 Phase 2: Mumbai Indians schedule

Mumbai Indians (MI) will be the first one to lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the matches resume for IPL 2021 Phase 2. The two sides play the first match of the second leg on September 19.
