IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians Ishan Kishan a drummer: Mumbai Indians (MI) swashbuckling batsman- Ishan Kishan has garnered attention this time for off-field activities. Amid MI’s intense practice session where the youngster hogged the limelight for his intense batting, Kishan was spotted in a different avatar at MI’s hotel- he ST. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi. The 23-year old was seen playing the drums in the music session that the blue brigade undertook during their ongoing stay in UAE.

Mumbai Indian posted a picture on their social media featuring MI players- Yudhvir Singh Charak, Ishan Kishan and Anukul Roy jamming in a band session. The post captioned, “𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻, 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗡! #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #IPL2021 @Yudhvircharak @ishankishan51 @anukul06roy.”

While the two Yudhvir Singh Charak and Anukul Roy played the guitar, Ishan Kishan played the drums in the jamming session that the trio undertook. The young Indian player wore a funky shirt and looked no less than a professional drummer.

IPL 2021: Ishan Kishan’s practice sessions in UAE

Mumbai Indians (MI) top-order batsman is leaving no stone unturned to hone his batting skills in the team’s training session at the Abu Dhabi Stadium. In the net and training sessions, Ishan Kishan amazed the fans and the mentors with his power-packed batting- fours and the sixes that he smashed during the drills.

Ishan Kishan’s batting stint with MI

The wicketkeeper-batsman for Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan had a memorable time in IPL 2020 in UAE. Playing all 14 matches for his side, the 22-year old amassed 516 runs and returned with an exceptional average of 57.33. With the second half of the tournament scheduled in the Gulf country, fans are waiting to see Kishan back with his loaded guns.

In the India based leg of IPL 2021, he featured in five matches, aggregated 73 runs and returned with an economy of 14.6.

IPL 2021: MI schedule for Phase 2

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL 2021 phase 2 campaign against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in Dubai. They have blown hot and cold in the first leg of the tournament and are ranked fourth in the league standings with four wins and three defeats in seven outings.
