IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals confirm Jos Buttler won’t return for IPL Phase 2, Glenn Phillips to replace him

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Jos Butler Rajasthan Royals: Currently, Jos Buttler is playing in the five-match Test series against India at home. Had he returned for IPL 2021, Buttler would have to be out of his home for over 5 months. IPL will be followed by T20 World Cup and that will be followed by a long Ashes Tour of Australia and then West Indies, ending in March.

That was the reason the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) left it on the players to take a call on the IPL return. Jos Buttler is one of the few multi-format cricketers in England. The likes of Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran and Moeen Ali are also expected to take a call on IPL return. However, as per CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan, both Sam Curran and Moeen Ali have opted to return.
