It will be the first competitive competition for the Indian national senior men’s team since the Hero Tri Nation Cup in Imphal, Manipur. The four-team Hero Intercontinental Cup will be played from June 9 to June 18 during the FIFA International Window, with hosts India competing against Lebanon, Mongolia, and Vanuatu.

The SAFF Championship will take place after the Intercontinental Cup. The 14th SAFF Men’s Championship will be place in Bangalore, India, from June 21st to July 3rd, 2023. India is in Group A of the competition, along with Kuwait, Nepal, and archrival Pakistan. On June 21st, India will resume its battle against Pakistan.
India will compete in Group B of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Qatar, with Australia, Syria, and Uzbekistan. Sunil Chhetri and his teammates, led by Igor Stimac, will kick off their campaign against Australia on January 13th, followed by matches against Syria and Uzbekistan.
