India had a slow start after losing some early wickets. Yastika Bhatia played well and brought up 35 runs. On the other hand, the entire middle order collapsed. Lower down the order Deepti Sharma scored a well-deserved 33-run knock as debutant Amanjot Kaur remained unbeaten on a 41-run knock.
India then bowled their innings to perfection to disrupt South Africa’s innings. Deepti Sharma scalped 3 wickets while Devika Vaidya bagged 2 wickets. In the end, the Indian eves registered a well deserved 27 run win to start their World Cup preparations on a fine note.
