Indian Wells Masters: Andy Murray finds wedding ring – Former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has returned to the good books at home after finding his wedding ring and stinky shoes ahead of his opener against Adrian Mannarino at the Indian Wells Masters. The British had asked for help from social media earlier to locate his prized possession which was stolen along with the tennis shoes to which it was tied. Murray was visibly delighted to have got back the ring, but little less so with his shoes.

Andy Murray appealed to the masses after he was robbed of his tennis shoes and wedding ring while at the Indian Wells Masters. The British ace first reported in a video that he left his tennis shoes to dry out overnight under a car in his hotel’s parking lot. They were stolen during the night and it wasn’t until he was preparing for practice that he realised that his wedding ring was tied to it through a shoelace. Murray said, “I basically tie my wedding ring to my tennis shoes while I’m playing because I can’t play with it on my hand. So, yeah, my wedding ring’s been stolen as well. Needless to say, I’m in the bad books at home, so I want to try to find it.”

Fortunately for Andy Murray, his social media appeal worked wonders, and the British ace soon located his stinky shoes along with the wedding ring,s marking his return to the good books. In another video, the former Olympic champion thanked his followers for their efforts and was visibly pleased to be reunited with his wedding ring.

He said, “I want to send a quick thanks for all the messages and for people sharing the story about the shoes and wedding ring. I had to make a few calls today and chat to security at the hotel and I have a little update for everyone… Would you believe it… they still absolutely stink but the shoes are back, the wedding ring is back and I’m back in the good books. Let’s go!”
