India’s PRACTICE Session started around 9.30 AM (IST) and ended at 12:00 PM (IST). While on nets, Virat Kohli suffered an injury scare but the Delhi-born batter quickly recovered and started batting again. The former India captain Virat Kohli flexed his muscles by practicing his favorite cover drive and then smashed some shots at the point. Kohli looked in a very aggressive mood as he used his foot to come forward and play one over the bowler.
Later Kohli also suffered an injury scare as a ball by Harshal Patel hit him on his groin. But the right-handed batter quickly started batting again and shortly after left the nets. He also gave some time to his fans by posing for selfies and giving autographs.

The big question currently doing rounds in the Indian camp is whether to persist with Dinesh Karthik or give Rishabh Pant again a chance in Playing XI vs England. Indication from Rohit Sharma’s PRESS Conference was that the team management is likely to bring in Dinesh Karthik in the T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal on Thursday.
Despite all the talks, flamboyant Rishabh Pant was sweating it hard in the nets. Practicing down-the-line shots as he was looking and sounding just on-song with leather coming on his willow with perfect timing.

Pant and Kohli are the first to hit the nets. Harshal Patel is also sweating it hard and making those yards count.

What happened at the PRACTICE on Tuesday? Only captain Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik & Hardik Pandya attended the session. There was a minor injury scare at the nets as Rohit got hit by a ball above his wrist. With captain writhing in pain, the entire Indian camp was seen as concerned. The good part was, Rohit returned to the nets after MINI-BREAK. Earlier as soon as Rohit reached the ground – he was seen closely observing the Adelaide Oval pitch:
Rohit was one of three Indian squad members that turned up at the optional training session. Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik were the others who batted against throw downs and the reserve bowlers Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj.
The Men in Blue arrived in the city on Monday and rested for the day yesterday. The Indian team will face England on Thursday at 1:30 PM IST.
