Keeping that in mind, India will have a tour game against Leicester. To prepare for that, Shubman and Rohit Sharma who haven’t played red-ball game for over three months began practice agianst short deliveries.
India will take every opportunity to test out the conditions in England before they embark on the final test match. India faces serious concerns on the batting front after top batters like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant have been under tremendous off form.
It is reported that India will field their top squad in the 4-day warm-up match. Therefore Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and others will be seen taking the field. Along with coach Rahul Dravid, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer are scheduled to join the squad later today.

The key focus of the match would be on the three named star batters. The trio has had an extended run of poor form since the IPL. Rishabh Pant, on the other hand, lead the Indian squad against South Africa in a 5-match T20I series and has been equally non-impressive with the bat. This warm-up match would also be a good opportunity to try out the team’s strengths and the combinations.
