That means CSA is set to lose even Ticket sales revenues for the series. CSA now has literally pleaded with the local government to allow fans but are yet to get any response.

Acting chief executive officer of Cricket South Africa Pholetsi Moseki says the governing body are still hopeful of welcoming some fans back in the upcoming series against India.

“The issue of fans is something that’s on our agenda and once we’re done with the meeting, we’ll make a call from there,” Moseki said this week.

“There are a few people we need to speak to before we can make an announcement but we hope we’ll be able to make an announcement by the end of the day.”

CSA is hoping that government will relent & at least allow vaccinated fans to the stadiums.

Indian test team is expected to arrive in South Africa on 17th Dec & will play the 1st test match at Super Sport Park.
