India T20 WC Squad: By the looks of it, Kohli seemed to be enjoying his time away from cricket. It is to be noted that the Indian team is currently in Perth, and will be leaving for Brisbane to play their upcoming practice matches. Earlier, the Asian nation had played two warm-up games against Western Australia. While they won the first, the Ashton Turner-led side sprung a surprise as they defeated India by 36 runs in the second practice game. However, Kohli didn’t play either of the two games.
Nevertheless, he recently took to Twitter to post a video of him sweating it out at the gym. It didn’t take too long for his Tweet to go viral. It looks like Kohli is all set to once again resume his normal services, and score runs for fun during the T20 WC. Besides, the batting maestro has arguably been one of the greatest players in the history of T20I cricket. As a matter of fact, he won the player of the series award during the 2014 and 2016 editions of the T20 WC.

As for the 2021 edition, his valiant half-century during India’s opening game against Pakistan was commendable to say the least. Yet, it wasn’t enough as the Babar Azam-led side went on to beat India by 10 wickets. Ironically, India are once again going to play their opening game of the T20 WC against Pakistan. The two Asian sides are scheduled to lock horns on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
The Indian fans would hope that their team can turn the tables and avenge their loss from the previous edition. However, if they are to do so, Kohli will have to be at his sublime best. The 33-year-old has an impeccable record against Pakistan and thus, would want to be at his best during the clash as well as during the tournament.
