Arshdeep Singh is one of the four pacers selected in the Men in Blue contingent. He will join the likes of other senior pacers like Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Harshal Patel. Arshdeep Singh had to wait for his chance to feature for India after a stunning IPL 2022 campaign. Once the chance was granted, the young pacer didn’t disappoint.
Arshdeep’s father said, “It is a very proud moment for us. It is a very big opportunity to get selected for the T20 World Cup squad. Previously he has won in the U-19 stages and now with the help of the almighty, we hope he performs well, brings us joy, and wins the trophy.” Arshdeep’s mother echoed his father’s words.

Arshdeep was a part of the India squad that took part in the Asia Cup 2022 tournament and will travel to the NCA to undergo a conditioning session ahead of the world cup with the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya. While the trio undergoes their sessions at NCA, they will not be a part of the India squad that will take on Australia and South Africa in the upcoming series.
BCCI on Monday in a statement said: “Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa.”
