IND vs ENG 2nd ODI: India have no reason to tinker with their playing combination following their comprehensive win at the Oval. Virat Kohli missed out of the first game due to a groin strain and is unlikely to return to full fitness to feature at Lord’s. Shreyas Iyer replaced the former Indian captain in the line-up and Rohit Sharma is likely to continue with the same team. Iyer did not get to bat at the Oval, as India sealed a comfortable 10-wicket win.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opened the batting and put on an unbeaten 114-run stand to help India to victory. The rest of the batting order will continue with Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant to slot in. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja will dovetail with the all-round and finishers’ spots.

Jasprit Bumrah registered his best bowling figures at the Oval bagging 6/19 to bundle out England for just 110. Mohammed Shami also picked up three wickets, while Prasidh Krishna also chipped in with a wicket. Yuzvendra Chahal will take up the lead spinner duties.
