Shubman Gill gifts jersey: Brad Evans impressed with Gill’s classy batting – Evans, who picked up five wickets in the third ODI feels Gill is a touch player and class act. Zimbabwe pacer also said he has watched Gill in IPL and feels he is easy to the eyes. The India youngster was quick to acknowledge Evans was his number one and quickly gave his jersey after the match. The pacer could not interact with Gill but said he will truly cherish this gift by him.
Harbhajan Singh lavishes praise on Gill, feels he is the future India captain – After his stellar start to his ODI career, former India cricketer Harbhajan feels Gill is the future India captain. The cricketer-turned-expert has also compared Gill with Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Rohit Sharma. He feels Gill is a sorted batter and captaincy can surely be entrusted to him in near future.
“For me, he’s a future India captain. He’s got the game, and he’ll learn about the captaincy. So, why not?” Harbhajan said to Times of India.
