Speaking about Tripathi’s catch, opening batter Pathum Nissanka was facing Axar Patel. The right-handed batter looked set for his 33 runs. However, he tried a big heave aimed to clear the mid-wicket, but he mistimed the shot. Tripathi who was stationed at the cow-corner completed a decent catch.
As he took the catch, the local lad took out a unique celebration. It looked like Tripathi was signaling a six which left both Axar and Hardik in splits. Meanwhile, Tripathi continued his good effort in the field and saved a certain boundary later in the game.

Meanwhile, SriLanka have made the most of good batting conditions and some poor bowling performance from the Men in Blue. Kusal Mendis started it off for the visitors, and the innings was given a much-needed flourish from Charith Asalanka and the skipper Dasun Shanaka.
SriLanka skipper continued his good run against India as he completed an excellent fifty with the bat. He scored 56 runs in just 22 balls. For India, Umran Malik and Axar bowled well, but it will take come chasing from the Indian batters to win the second game.
