“Team India wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan was struck on the head while batting in the 2nd T20I at Dharamsala on Saturday. Accompanied by a Team Doctor, he was taken to a local hospital last night for a check-up where a CT scan was conducted. The findings of the CT scan are normal,” BCCI said in a statement.
“The BCCI Medical Team will continue to closely monitor his signs of concussion. Ishan is ruled out of the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka,” the statement added.

IPL 2022’s costliest player Kishan sustained a head injury during the 2nd T20 and was rushed to FORTIS HOSPITAL in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
“I have been attached to the Indian team. I got information that an Indian player, who has sustained a head injury, has been brought here in the hospital. His CT scan was conducted and he has was under observation,” said Dr Shubham.

Ishan Kishan Injury Update – Ishan Kishan Hospitalised: Ishan Kishan was hit on the helmet by a short delivery from Lahiru Kumara. Ishan went for the pull but he missed the line and received the blow on his helmet.
The incident happened in the 3rd Over of the innings.
The batsman had scored 14 runs at that point of time. He looked a bit shaken after the blow and he had to get medical assistance on the field.

He however continued to play but his innings didn’t last long as he managed to add only two more runs.
He was dismissed for 16 as he gave away a simple catch to Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka at mid on off the bowling of Lahiru Kumara.
After showing signs of discomfort in the pavilion, Kishan was taken to the hospital in Kangra.
The Indian batsman underwent a CT SCAN and was kept under observation in Hospital overnight.

“His CT scan was conducted and he has been under observation at the Hospital” said Dr Shubham attached to the Indian team.
India has already missed the services of Deepak Chahar, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Suryakumar due to injuries just before this series.
It remains to be seen if Ishan Kishan’s injury is a serious one.
If Ishan Kishan misses out the 3rd T20, India can rope in Mayank Agarwal as his replacement. The Karnataka batsman is in the squad as a cover for Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Dinesh Chandimal also in Hospital: Apart from Ishan Kishan, Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal was also taken to the hospital. Chandimal endured a thumb injury while fielding in the second T20I.
“A Sri Lankan player has also been admitted in the hospital. He suffered from a thumb injury in the second T20I. We are monitoring everything right now,” doctor at the Kangra hospital added.
IND beat SL in 2nd T20: Coming to the second T20I, Shreyas Iyer smashed a stylish fifty before Ravindra Jadeja slammed 45 in 18 balls to help India defeat Sri Lanka in the second T20I by seven wickets on Saturday.
With this win, India also sealed the two-match T20I series (2-0) with a game to go.
The third T20I between both sides will be played on Sunday.
Chasing 184, India got off to a bad start as the side lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over. Dushmantha Chameera removed Rohit as the batter edged the ball onto the stumps.
Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer stitched a 35-run stand but Lahiru Kumara removed the batter in the sixth over. Shreyas and Sanju Samson then carried the innings and accelerated at the right time to get close to the target.
Samson got out in the 13th over as Binura Fernando grabbed a one-handed catch to reduced India to 128/3. However, Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer (74) took India home with an easy win over Sri Lanka in the second T20I. Jadeja and Shreyas stitched an important 58-run stand in 25 balls.
