To note, Kuldeep and Chahal have not been a part of the Indian side together since July 2021. Before that the duo featured in an ODI team last in 2019. When asked about his equation at the moment with the player, Kuldeep thanked Chahal for his advice.
“Yuzi has always supported me, obviously he knew how the batters play having played the earlier games so he keeps advising me. He is an amazing guy. Well, I will have a fun activity with Chahal now,” said Kuldeep at the post match presentation.
The Chinaman also thanked the National Cricket Academy of Bangalore for his rhythm and said that he likes to go there in his off time. “If I am not around on the Indian side, I will always go to NCA for the training and drills. Thanks to the NCA staff for getting me ready,” Kuldeep said.

Making his comeback to the Indian side, Kuldeep scalped three crucial wickets and completely broke the bone of SriLanka batting. With his three-wicket haul, Kuldeep has also completed 200 wickets across all three formats of the game. He was also adjudged player of the match for his excellent bowling spell against the Islanders.
“I mean, I am happy with my performances. Whenever I get an opportunity, I always try to give my best. I don’t think much; instead, I keep it simple and stick to my strengths. I try to bowl on the right areas and get the batters to ponder about it,” the wrist spinner said after the game.
