He had to miss the last three matches of that series and also did not feature in the first T20I against India, which took place on Friday at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.

However, it has now been revealed that Hasaranga has not made a full recovery and given the necessary quarantine guidelines, it has been decided that the 24-year-old will return home instead of joining the Sri Lankan camp that is currently at Dharamshala. The Lions lost the first T20I by 62 runs, and in the absence of their number one match-winner, their chances of making a comeback look very slim.
