On Sunday, Team South Africa landed in India. They were welcomed with garlands and tilak was applied to their forehead.

On Friday, South Africa departed for a six-match trip to India. Temba Bavuma-led side will play the hosts in three T20Is and the same number of ODIs beginning on September 28 in Thiruvananthapuram. After that, they will immediately travel to Australia for the ICC T20 World Cup (October 16 to November 13).

Explosive southpaw batter David Miller took to his Instagram and shared that the SA team are on their way to India. On his Insta story, the 33-year-old shared an image of himself. Miller wrote: “Its been whirlwind last four days. But back on big bird (Airplane). India bound.”
While Tabraiz Shamsi also took to his Instagram to share a video of SA players on the plane. He wrote: “These boys are in rush to go nowhere.” In this funny video, Shamsi tagged Waleed Wayne Parnell and Andile Phehlukwayo. Parnell reshared Shamsi’s story and wrote: “Clean your camera.”
Skipper Bavuma and the rest of his team spent the last few days before leaving the country in Cape Town where they have been doing some team building together. The skipper has been out since picking up an elbow injury in June, a blow that forced him to miss the Proteas’ multi-format tour to the United Kingdom.
