The current skipper of the India team for the South Africa tour of India, Pant has been off colours in this present series. He managed a decent enough score in the first T20I, following which he has been disastrous with the bat.
Out of the three games played in this series, Pant has managed to score just 40 runs. His highest score came in the first game where he went on to hit 29 runs off just 16 deliveries. In the second game, he managed 5 runs from 7 balls, and today in the third game he registered just 6 runs from 8 balls.

IPL 2022 hasn’t been great for Pant. The Delhi Capitals skipper had a relatively poor season after managing to score just 340 runs in 13 innings. With a mere average of 30.90 Pant failed to register a fifty throughout the tournament.
Rishabh Pant POOR Form Continues:-
- Rishabh Pant has faltered time and again for over two months in the limited format of the game.
- His poor batting run has been stretching from IPL 2022.
- In IPL 2022, he scored 340 runs in 13 innings without a single half-century throughout the tournament.
- India vs South Africa series has been no different. He scored a decent 29 run knock in the first game and then went on to score 5 and 6 runs in the next two games.
This certainly is surprising for one of the destructive batters on the Indian team. Ahead of the much anticipated and important England tour, it certainly will be a worry for Rahul Dravid and the selectors if Rishabh Pant continues his poor form.
