With the series on the line, Rishabh Pant pulled out yet another masterclass to rescue India during the IND vs SA 3rd Test in Cape Town. Coming into bat at 58/4, Rishabh Pant launched a vicious counterattack to set a solid partnership with captain Virat Kohli to take India to lunch at 130/4. In their partnership of 72, Pant was dominant, scoring 51 injust 61 deliveries at a strike rate of 83.61.

In his career so far, Rishabh Pant has made many meaningful contributions when things looked down and out for Team India. Pant chipped in with a 97 at Syndey last year which helped India seal a draw, before taking the team over the line with an unbeaten 89 at the Gabba. He then followed it up with a counter-attacking 101 vs England at home, to put India in command.
