In a stunning assault on the SouthAfrican bowling on Sunday, Suryakumar Yadav never looked in doubt for a moment. He used the pace to his advantage, toying with Proteas fielding. When established Indian batters like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul all were tumbling at the other end, Suryakumar took charge.
“I have not seen a better T20 innings than this,” Gautam Gambhir said on Star Sports. “This is probably the best T20 innings by an Indian. The wickets had fallen, and on this pitch to do this is something,” he added.

Suryakumar slammed his 11th T20I fifty off just 31 balls as the rest of the Indian batting crumbled around him. The 32-year-old braced the challenge calmly and took his team to a competitive total, contributing more than half the runs the Men in Blue managed on Sunday.
