The 10-minute-long last over of Mohammad Nawaz perhaps was the longest in Kohli’s life. It had ups, and downs, and was filled with drama and emotions, worthy of a novel and of course a movie. Kohli did not score the winning runs, Ashwin did but to cross the 160-run hurdle, the former India captain had almost lived his entire life in the span of the last over.
“Till today Mohali was my best T20I innings. Today I will count this one higher. Hardik kept pushing me. The crowd has been phenomenal. You guys (fans) kept backing me and I am grateful for your support,” said Virat in a post-match presentation.
