Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan officially welcomed Shubman Gill to the 200 club. The Indian captain was in complete awe of his fellow opener’s heroics lavishing huge praise on the 23-year-old. Gill scored 208 when the next-best score in the Indian innings was 34. He also became the youngest to the milestone, beating Ishan Kishan.
Shubman Gill revealed his mindset at the crease and how attacked at timely moments to not let NewZealand settle. Ishan Kishan meanwhile asked Gill to reveal his pre-match routine. Rohit chipped in saying Kishan could say that himself, given how him and Gill spend time together.
The Hyderbad hero then said that ‘Ishan Kishan ruins my pre-match routine’. Gill claims that Kishan watches movies and doesn’t let him sleep. Meanwhile Kishan joked that since they shared the room, the 23-year-old scored his share of runs as well in the 1st ODI.
Rohit then officially then welcomed Shubman to the 200 club. Rohit playfully then turned to Ishan Kishan, saying he did not play 3 games after scoring a double century. The left-hander cheekily replied, ‘Brother, you are the captain’ which produced fits of laughter.
