Since India’s ouster from the T20 World Cup in Australia last year, the team’s regular skipper Rohit Sharma, as well as veteran players Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, have not played in a single T20I series. Hardik Pandya led the team against New Zealand, Sri Lanka and he will again lead it in the upcoming three-match T20I series against New Zealand at home.
IND vs NZ T20: The two teams last faced off in November 2022, shortly following the completion of the T20 World Cup 2022, with the Men in Blue winning the T20I series (1-0) and the Kiwis winning the ODI series (1-0). It will be intriguing to watch how Team India, led by Hardik Pandya, performs against the Kiwis in the T20Is.
After the New Zealand series, India doesn’t have many T20 Internationals this year. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which consists of four Test matches versus Australia, will take center stage, followed by the IPL.
