Team India’s T20 squad will assemble in Ranchi by Wednesday as they gear up for the T20 serie against NewZealand. Prithvi Shaw was exempted from the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad, with U-25 batter Divyaansh Saxena replacing him. The likes of Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Hooda will also miss their state games.
Shaw makes his return on the back of some sensational form in domestic cricket. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi, and Deepak Hooda are retained from the previous squad. Axar Patel and KL Rahul will the series due to their respective weddings.

India play the 1st T20I on Friday in the Jharkhand Capital. Captain Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Umran Malik and others will travel to Ranchi directly from Indore. A host of T20I stars are in action in the 3rd ODI on Tuesday.
The Men in Blue will have an optional practice session at Ranchi. Players who have been named to the squad are expected to get some miles under their bat. The ODI stars will join provided they are rested in the third game of the series.
