Trent Boult will spearhead the Kiwi pace attack against star Indian batters Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan. In T20 internationals Boult has taken 59 wickets in 41 matches at an average of 21.13 but against India his performance gets even better as he has 9 wickets in 4 matches with a staggering average of 12.88.

In the recently played game against India Boult bagged 3 wickets in 4 overs giving away only 20 runs to restrict India to a modest 110/7 in 20 overs. Boult’s record against India across formats is also very impressive as the Kiwi has bagged 74 wickets in 36 matches. Among those 74 wickets, 53 wickets have come against right-handed batters. Clearly, against right-handed batters, his bowling becomes more effective.

So, it will be interesting to see how both of them and the rest of the batters have prepared against willy Trent Boult. A good and a wicketless start against him will set the right tone for the India vs New Zealand T20 international series.
