IND vs NZ 1st T20I: Rahul Dravid was greeted into his new job with a rousing reception as the former Indian captain oversaw his first game after being appointed as the head coach full-time. Before the game, Dravid walked up to the pitch to inspect the surface and was greeted with a roar from a packed crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Dravid has previously led India at the same venue and is a real crowd favourite having spent time with Rajasthan Royals. BCCI shared a video of how Dravid received huge cheers from the crowd, as he walked up to the pitch. Watch it here –

IND vs NZ 1st T20I: Rahul Dravid started his stint with a win as India edged New Zealand in the final over to seal the match. Ravichandran Ashwin starred with the ball, while Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma did the bulk of the scoring for the Men in Blue. A mini-collapse did hurt India’s chances, but Rishabh Pant kept his cool and hit a boundary in the final over to see the hosts over the line.
