Batting with Harshal Patel, Chahar scored a breezy 8-ball 21, to guide India past the 180-run mark, and simultaneously take momentum into the second half of the innings.

On Sunday, India beat New Zealand by 73 runs with Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel starring in the match at the Eden Gardens. Captain Sharma chipped in with a fine fifty at the top of the order, before Axar put the breaks on to help India clinch a dominating win and thereby the series.
