IND vs NZ LIVE: Nathan Smith’s astounding catch in NZ- While New Zealand played like a WTC champion on Day 2 of ongoing India vs New Zealand Test, a terrific catch in Super Smash made headlines at home. Nathan Smith took a blinder of a catch at the boundary ropes in Super Smash during a game between Canterbury and Wellington on Friday. He jumped to perfection at fine-leg boundary region to dismiss Canterbury opening batsman Ken McClure for a duck. Sharing the video on Twitter, Cricket Wellington wrote, “Nathan Smith Stop It.”

The incident occurred during Hamish Bennett’s very first over. He bowled it on the legs, asking to be hit. McClure flicked it off his pads but the timing was not enough to prevent a destined SIX. Nathan Smith used the benefit of his height to make a difference. The catch was difficult but Smith kept his presence of mind while leaping in the air above boundary ropes to manage his fall to perfection.

Wellington went on to win the contest by 27 runs. Smith, however, failed to make an impact with his bowling. Earlier, Finn Allen shined with 57 off 30 balls to guide Wellington to 177/7 in the allotted 20 overs.

IND vs NZ LIVE: Meanwhile, New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Will Young frustrated India with their unbeaten knocks of 50 and 75 respectively. Kiwis were 129/0 at the end of Day 2, trailing by just 216 runs at the resumption of Day 3 in Kanpur. Tim Southee’s fifer wrapped up India to 345 all out on the second day. Blackcaps will now be eyeing to get a lead while Ashwin & Co would like to bounce back.
