Mohammed Shami etched his name in the record books with a stunning performance on Tuesday at the Oval. Arriving with 148 ODI wickets under his belt, Shami made good use of the conditions on the offer to bag three more. In just his 80th ODI for India, the 31-year-old went past 150 wickets, becoming the fastest Indian to do so.

Previously, Ajit Agarkar was the fastest to achieve the milestone for India. Agarkar had got to 150 wickets in 97 games, and Shami has taken 17 games less to reach the same mark.
In fact, Shami is amongst the fastest to the milestone in the world. Among pacers, only Mitchell Starc has taken fewer games to reach the landmark. Trent Boult and Brett Lee have taken 81 and 82 matches respectively, while Starc required only 77 games to achieve the same.
